# Opt out of "Some of your data soon will be deleted" emails

I know that Piwik has a retention period for the data. I don’t need to get an email every month every month telling me about this. How do I get rid of this email?

Hi, unfortunately at this moment the user cannot opt-out of these alert emails. I brought this topic to the attention of the team responsible for this part of the product. The short-term solution would be to filter out these emails from the inbox.
