hello Piwik community we have noticed a problem while testing our campaign parameters. Piwik seems to save the first entry and then not save further entries even if the UTM parameters change. As a result, our data is not arriving correctly at Piwik. We have checked in detail if the website sends the correct data, but Piwik doesn’t seem to accept this data correctly. Only the one with the parameter utm\_content=north and if another tester then first goes to the link with utm\_content=southwest then southwest comes in and for the lower ones also only the first clicked link with the respective parameter arrives in piwik. We are desperate because we will start the campaign on Wednesday and we need data urgently. Are our parameters wrong? Can’t we test this because everything goes to one Visitor ID, but what if this Visitor goes to multiple campaigns? Please help us. What are we doing wrong or why is Piwik tracking this wrong? We need to send out the links today please help. Best Sara Hi. I just double checked that and you’re right - it’s not possible to update campaign params once they have been set, even if the value was empty at the beginning of the session. The only way to store the new information for the same visitor is to force a new campaign name, which (by default) would create a new session. It’s not a bug, it works so by design to store the exact state from the session’s starting point. ---
