I have setup custom event with the builtin tag manger and the event is showing correctly in the debug mode but in the custom report section it is not showing can you please help me to fix it?

Could you share a screenshot of how the custom event is configured? Event category, action and so on.

You mean that you can see it in the Tag Manager debugger right? Have you checked the tracker debugger?
