I am trying to track sessions by hour for today using a custom report. Easy to set-up but it’s showing sessions for hours that have not happened yet. I’m in the U.S. (eastern time zone) and have added an audience segment = U.S. only. Why am I seeing sessions from U.S. based visitors for hours that have yet to occur?

I did some investigation and easiest way to explain is that location is based on user IP, and local time is based on device and browser.
If someone is using VPN and is visible as NY, but his time zone on computer is set to something else outside US it might report him as NY and future time. This was just one example, but there might be more reasons why someone has wrong time compared to his IP location, ie. desynchronized system clock, changed it on purpose, his ISP is reporting wrong location.
