Ignoring certain IP addresses not working

Hello,

I don’t seem to be able to block the development IP address, or even my own:

I have set up the ‘Don’t collect data from these IP addresses’ to:
127.0.0.1, 0,0,0,0, 127.0.0.[asterisk], x.x.x.[asterisk](my IP address)

But in the ‘What sources are driving the conversions’ panel I see:
127.0.0.1 / referral

Also in the ‘Session entry URL’:
http://127.0.0.1:8000/

I appreciate any help on how to fix this.

Hi!

The 127.0.0.1 in the “Session entry URL” means that you accessed a local development server on your own machine, not that your IP is 127.0.0.1

The setting you’re adjusting refers to the visitor’s IP address, not the URL. If you want to disable tracking on the development site, you can turn on DNT (do not track) or use a method similar to what is mentioned in this article:

You can also apply a filter to your reports, or a segment that will exclude 127.0.0.1
