We recently assisted a customer in migrating from their free plan to a paid plan.
Until recently, upon subscription, it was possible to connect an existing Cookie Information account or create one directly from the Piwik PRO site administration.
However, this was not the case with this latest subscription. This is unfortunate, as some of our clients appreciate us guiding them through the migration process from start to finish via screen sharing. This includes creating the Cookie Information account and sharing access to it. We used to handle everything in a single video call.
Is there now a delay before you can access this section in Piwik PRO? Or is it a temporary bug?
Or has the procedure for linking the Cookie Information account to Piwik PRO changed?

As of 26/01/2026 when you upgrade an account that uses Piwik PRO Consent Manager it is retained with the upgraded Business account.
This however is not a blocker to register Cookie Information account. You can do that in two ways:
simplest way is just enter a secret path: your_account.piwik.pro/administration/register-cmp (this gives initially trial account for 30 days, but our internal process covers updating license there, so just set it up and let us handle the rest)
you can register Cookie information Trial account through cookieinformation.com (this way you register regular 14 days trial and you’ll need to give us a hint it’s the one to combine under one license).
I know it’s not the most convenient way to handle, but I have a plan to give you much easier way to do that, just give me a bit more time.

Our client has just created their Cookie Information account via the secret link you provided me with. It does indeed show a 30-day trial period. Now that this is done, how can I confirm the link between the two solutions in the Piwik PRO interface?
If there is a delay before this connection is visible, how long is it? I imagine that when the synchronisation is effective, the Cookie Information account will also be updated with the correct plan.
