I just connected 1.3.1 for Looker Studio and tried to redo some of the reports I had issues with the former connector.
Finally the correct number of sessions, events etc is shown in bar chart, thanks to adding “week” to the connector.
Here comes the big BUT:
Most other graphics are messed up or are not working. From simple things to mayor issues.
Example 1:
I need to show sessions based on calender weeks. The former connector used to show sessions per day only, like a want to have the total session on week 36 I got 7 bars with sessions, which summed up do not match the sessions in the interface. (known issue here)
Finaly after updating the numbers do match BUT it is not possible to change the lettering for the weeks, the standard is starting day of the week to enddate like
Switching to other formats does not do anything. Also applicable for tables.
Switching to a sparkline chart gives you an empty window
A timeline gives only 0 sessions
Pivot also does not show calender week numbers just the date.
have been on holidays.
My desired outcome would be a functioning connector ^^
When choosing calenderweeks for the form, the graph should show Week 1 Week 2 etc… for now its showing 1.1 till 7.1 etc , with no possibility to change into the desired format.
As seen at the start of this topic, the bar charts only show the date Aug 05, 24 - etc
Other graphics do not show any data.
The connector should show the desired formats I choose, just like its doing when using Google integrations
I’ve added this as a task to our backlog. It seems that for both the Week and Quarter dimensions we get 0 as the result. The common denominator here is the , in the dimension value. We’ll verify if this is indeed causing time series and sparkline to fail.
As for the Week dimension naming - our API only provides time frames. We’ll check if this is something we can add to the connector or whether we need our API to provide such transformations (e.g. Week 1, Week 2…)
When using Date with ISO Week the bar chart looks fine regarding the naming BUT the numbers are wrong.
I used Date before the new connector. Using Date gives you a daily sum of all sessions for example. With Month / Week Looker and Piwik interface finally match when looking for multiple days/ periods. Date counts day by day.
Example Date:
I visit my website on monday and stay after midnight so its:
