Number of groups in Custom Channel Grouping

I wanted to know if the maximum number of groups that we can create in a custom channel grouping will increase later ? In fact, only 10 groups can limit the analysis of our acquisition and attribution data.

At the moment there are no plans to increase the limit for everyone. The limit comes from the performance limitations - if there are more groups then higher likelihood that complicated reports like attribution will not be generated.

In some cases, the limit is changed individually per customer but we do that only for enterprise clients and with a disclaimer that reports with such custom channel grouping can load slower or in some cases (e.g. longer date period and big data set) will not load at all.

It may change in the future if we will introduce sampling - it could improve the performance and ability to increase limits at a cost of accuracy. Though it’s under consideration without any concrete plans at the moment.
