Reporting averages of metrics

Hi -

I can easily create a custom report, Flat Table for example, with metrics as columns and the rows per values of a dimension – and there is an automatic SUM above the table for each column. I would like that to be AVG instead of SUM. Or, is there another way to report on averages?

Specific use case: I am tracking different tenants, each with a unique ID, using a custom dimension. I would like to know the average number of sessions in a time period across the tenants. Not just the total number of sessions.

Certainly, please go ahead and use a calculated metric (Analytics → Settings → Calculated metrics).

Here’s the setup I used (see screenshot).
