I have a redundant, messy setup with about 80 (!) tags per site and a questionable naming convention. Now I need to redo the Google Ads Conversion Tag setup.
But finding the tags with Google Ads Conversion Tags seems to be impossible other than clicking into each and every tag, or am I missing sth?
Hi @loldenburg,
As of now there’s no way to filter the tags based on the tag type (apart from async/sync).
I’ll file a feature request for this.
Hi @anthonybartczak ,
there is a similar feaure request for using folders in Tag Manager, maybe this could be merged and done together :-): Tag Manager folders
Dear @anthonybartczak,
are there any news about this? The longer one uses PTM the longer the list of triggers/tags gets . I admit not having the ideal naming convention for my tags, but nonetheless… folders would help a lot, even with the ideal naming convention at hand.
@loldenburg or maybe you did find a smashing workaround in the meantime? I would be thankful for that
@nila I sure have a solution for this now: The free “Piwik Pro Manager”, where you can filter and search your Tag Manager for anything (e.g. tag type, consent level, publishing date, priority etc.), including anything in your code in Tags or Variables. You can bulk-edit across multiple Sites and much more. It is also an insane time-saver when it comes to managing Custom Dimensions or Goals, especially across multiple Piwik Sites.
Installation takes 5 minutes: piwik-manager-appsscript/README.md at main · loldenburg/piwik-manager-appsscript · GitHub
For questions, feel free to write to me.
@loldenburg Amazing work - thanks a lot for that! I will try it as soon as possible.
