Looker Studio connector stopped working

Yesterday, 19 of nov. 2025, reports in looker studio returned error messages instead of data. New connections can not be created as it throws an error. See screenshot below. Also I noticed that it now only asks me to Select instance. Before it will also ask to select website too. These issues appeared after Piwik had a “under construction” message on their website. So I believe this needs to be fixed by Piwik.

Yes, I just tried it now.

  • Deleted and created new api key.
  • Created new data source (directly, not through report)
  • Selected Add new/overwrite (see screenshot)
  • Set my path, user name and password
  • Tried new connection (which has same name as before cause of same path)
  • Same error, the API key is not possible to update as error come before that step

Could someone please try to set up a Data source in Google Looker Studio and see if they get the Piwik connection to work? That would clarify a lot for me :slight_smile:

Yey! I figured out this one. Solved by creating new client id and secret.
