Sending Podium Events into Piwik Pro?

Does anyone have any experience with sending Podium chat event from Google Tag Manager into Piwik Pro?

I’ve checked the link that you sent and I don’t see any roadblocks. You could set up a custom HTML tag in GTM, use our JS tracking API and track Podium chat events as custom events → API — Piwik PRO Analytics Suite 16.40 documentation

Thanks for the quick response. Would this process be even easier with the Piwik Tag Manager? I’m open minded.

The setup would be quite similar (since Piwik PRO operates on the same datalayer object as GTM). The obvious advantage is the possibility to use built-in templates for custom events.
