Sum of new and returning visitors doesn't match total in data studio integration

Hi!
I am on this topic, too: I am reporting New and Returning Visitors in Google Data Studio and they don’t sum up to total.
Do you have any explanation or hint on that?

Hi @Susanne,

this metric is based on visitors’ sessions. Keep in mind that each returning visitor (unique visitor id) started the journey being a new one. So the sum won’t equal the total.
