My company is starting to us Taboola for one of our client.
Unlike Adroll, there is no already made tags for Taboola.
I’m trying to create an event for Taboola through Piwik, but the tag info given in Taboola does not match with Piwik (I have missing info & extra info).
I have created a personalised code, but I’d like to make an event so I can track my Taboola results in Piwik.
Anyone had the same issue and found a way to fix it ?

If you are using Piwik PRO tag manager to trigger a script that will send a singular event to Taboola, you can create a custom event and set the same trigger as for the event you track with Taboola. This will allow you test if works.
Potential reasons for missmatch in data with this solution:
- adblocks, blocking only one of those tools and not the other. (this would most likely result in small difference)
- issue with the script tracking Taboola (this could explain a bigger difference)
- difference in setup for the tags - if one tag has respect DNT or specific consent required and other does not, it will also result in a missmatch
If none of the above is true then a deeper investigation will be needed
