I’m trying to validate our Search Console property using the Tag Manager. However it is not working. I’m guessing its because of the fact that the HTML-tag is not placed in the . Can someone help me make this work? We’ve got a Sitecore website. I’ve already tried uploading the HTML file, but that doesn’t work either.

Hi Laura,
Creating a meta tag dynamically may not be the best option in this case.
This is because most likely this element is created once the page is loaded and the crawler has already read through the page. Please try adding the meta tag directly in the code of the website (not dynamically).
Also, if you’ll have any more issues with the validation process - please reach out to Google since they will know best how to help you in this case.
