How to exclude your website homepage from metrics

Hi there

Is there a way to apply a filter so that your websites homepage is excluded the widgets added to your report? I’m looking at top webpages and, of course, the homepage will be the top visited page which is fine but it also keeps randomly appearing in other widgets. For example, when filtering webpages by type i.e. only news/ article pages, the homepage appears in the list even though I’ve set filter dimensions to specifically only include ‘news’ etc.

Sure, you can add the filter dimension:
Page URL (path) is not /

  • Page URL (path) is a special dimension that you can select by clicking the little arrow in Page URL dimension
