Is The Looker Studio Connector Down?

Hello,

I’m trying to create a Looker Studio data connection for crosworks.com. I’ve tried twice (each time with a different set of API keys) and get the same error message:

Community Connector Error

There was an error caused by the community connector. Please report the issue to the provider of this community connector if this issue persists.

Connector details

There was an error caused by this connector.

ALSO, I’ve tried to open a few alreadi existing Looker studio reports that use 1.4.0 as the data connector and every single report is giving this error for every chart:

Unknown data source

The data source associated with this component could not be loaded

We were not able to find the data source associated with this component. This can happen when a data source is deleted.

OK

Hello @David_Culbertson,
does this issue still persist for you or was it resolved?

Thank you!

Hello @PWyrostek

Still not working. I’ve tried two different API keys:

Hello @David_Culbertson,
from what I see in the logs, there was an issue with getting an access token for the crosworks.piwik.pro instance.

I actually think I found the issue, so please in order to find the solution, could I ask you to:

  1. Try a different instance and check if those are also failing or if those work okay?
  2. If they work okay - can you select the “Add new or overwrite existing instance” to provide credentials for crosworks.piwik.pro instance once again?

I actually think that the issue comes down to putting “crosworks.piwik.pro” instead of “crosworks” in the path field.

You can refer to our manual (Looker Studio (Google Data Studio) integration | Piwik PRO help center) but in the “Path” field you should provide only first part of your account address, for example:

So here, it would be only “crosworks” and not “crosworks.piwik.pro”.

Then, after providing client id and secret, you should be able to select the “crosworks” instance from a list and it should work okay

Please let me know if that helps

Thank you, what a simple mistake on my part!

Great, I’m happy it works now!
